NAD+ Therapy

Introducing our newest therapy, NAD+

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) is a co-enzyme found in all living cells.  NAD+ is essential for energy metabolism, regulation of DNA repair, cell survival and proper circadian-rhythm function. Increased NAD+ levels have been shown to delay aging in animal models. In humans, elevated NAD+ levels have been shown to increase health and longevity.

What happens if NAD+ is missing?  At a molecular level, without facilitation of electron transfer, many reactions would either no longer take place, become very inefficient, or occur independent of one another.

At a cellular level, this translates into accumulation of biowaste, damage to whole groups of cells, and inability of cells to communicate with one another using hormones and neurotransmitters.  On a whole-body level, impaired cell-cell communication has been linked to conditions such as aging, chronic fatigue, anxiety, depression, aggression, attention deficit disorders, dementia, insomnia, poor concentration, addiction, poor immunity, altered metabolism, etc.

Complete absence of NAD+ is hard to imagine, but its relative depletion is actually quite common.  NAD+ levels decline with age, resulting in emergence of some of the previously noted symptoms.  Although NAD+ is present in food in the form of niacin, its digestive absorption is impeded by gastric acidity.  Moreover, cooking and certainly artificial processing depletes NAD+ levels in food.

When NAD+ is injected intravenously, the nutrients bypass the stomach and are delivered directly to receptors located in various organs, including the brain. NAD+ facilitates detoxification reactions.  For example, crucial enzymes involved in the Krebs Cycle are impaired by environmental factors such as cigarette smoke, drugs, chronic stress, sedentary living, pesticides, etc. With intravenous NAD+, it takes days (rather than weeks or months) to flush out stored toxins from the body, replenish balance in the brain, and reverse damage. Results can include mental clarity, improved cognition, return of focus and concentration, more energy, better mood, positive outlook, etc.

Dr. David Sinclair, professor at Harvard Medical School, in multiple scientific journals has noted that restoration of NAD+ levels in the old and frail has the potential for not only extending lifespan, but enabling an energetic, youthful, enjoyable lifestyle.
