KHOSHAL LATIFZAI, MD
Born in Afghanistan, Dr. Latifzai emigrated to the United States in the 1990s at age 10. He went on to graduate from Dartmouth Medical School and Yale University Emergency Medicine Residency program. Caring for critical patients and performing life-saving procedures has always been a passion of his, a pursuit that has culminated in medical missions to impoverished areas in Africa. He is also a tenacious patient-advocate, is instrumental in training future physicians, and is a published author in peer-reviewed journals. In addition to saving lives in emergency situations, Dr. Latifzai has come to appreciate the importance of quality of life through his personal pursuits. As a lifelong amateur athlete, he understands how difficult pain and recovery can be. Seeking out alternative, permanent solutions with little recovery time and few side effects sparked his interest in regenerative and advanced non-surgical orthopedics. What started out as an adjunct has since grown into a full time job. His medical background and love of sports has earned him the privilege of working with the Denver Broncos and also caring for other professional athletes. These days, clients seek him out for his expertise in dietary modification, vitamins and supplements, mitigation of systemic inflammation, hormone replacement, post-workout recovery, anti-aging, stem cell and other biological solutions.. In practice since 2003, Dr. Latifzai moved to the Boulder area from the East Coast in 2012. In his free time he can be found hiking around Colorado with his wife or teaching his two children the fundamentals of grappling and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Keep Reading

She holds a BSN from Fairfield University, an MSN from Regis University, and is a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. Particular areas of interest include bioidentical hormone replacement, autoimmune disorders, and improving athletic performance. Colleen entered the medical field over ten years ago, specializing in emergency medicine. After witnessing the detriments of treating symptoms in isolation and neglecting underlying problems, she was propelled towards a different path altogether -- regenerative medicine. I had IV ozone/oxygen therapy through this practice. Doctor was thorough in listening to my health history & how this therapy would help. MD administered & was present throughout the treatment. He explained the process before and during the treatment. I was able to schedule my appointment within a few days also, which is rare with most doctors now. Very patient centered & customer service oriented practice!
As manual therapist: I have full faith in the ability, integrity, professionalism, and honest compassion these doctors provide. I have referred a number of clients and they all have been as impressed as I have.
As a patient: Well...where does a manual therapist go when he needs fixed? To the best! I have full faith in the care i am receiving. I have been highly impressed with the knowledge and compassion i have been given. To add, my treatment has been a great success! Thank you Dr. Vas!
I can’t say enough positive things about Dr. Vass and Dr. Koshal at Rocky Mountain Regenerative Medicine in Boulder. From the initial consultation all the way through the post treatment checkups the care has been excellent. Being new to the PRP and stem cell treatment therapies, I had many questions and Dr. Vass took extra time to educate both on the possible outcomes and risks of this process. Everything about the treatment was spelled out and explained in great detail, so that the day of the treatment went very smoothly. I am now 3 weeks post injections and my shoulder is starting to feel better. The hope is full recovery on a 50% tear in the supraspinatus tendon. If you have been thinking about these treatments I would highly recommend talking with Dr. Vass and Dr. Koshal.
The whole team over at Rocky Mountain Regenerative Medicine was super helpful throughout the process of Stem Cell therapy and continued to check in on me long after the procedure. I will be returning for more services in the future. I am very excited to have found such a great place with unique capabilities in the Boulder area.
As an athlete and coach, I recommend this place with a glowing praise.
